Red Orange from Organic Farming

Product description

Oranges that are organic are certified, all-natural fruits, they are distinguished because they follow cultivation methods that require much more time and resources, they fruit in pristine citrus groves where only molecules recognised by the specification for organic farming are used.
In organic cultivation, the treatment is carried out using other predators, insects, extracts from other plants and oils allowed by the organic regime. Another distinctive element of the organic blood orange is the full respect of natural ripening times with regard to harvesting.
The blood orange has a very intense natural flavour and odour. Nothing of it is thrown away, even the rind is edible and therefore can be used on the kitchen and eaten quite naturally.
Blood oranges are very well known and appreciated for their consistent content of vitamin C and of anthocyanins, but these super-fruit also contain many other beneficial substances; a full 441 compounds. Amongst these, there are 14 different vitamins and 67 mineral salts, amino acids, enzymes, carbohydrates, carotenoids, flavonoids and other nutritional substances. The white inner rind or albedo contains a high percentage of fibre. This part is not discarded. It is very valuable and can be eaten.
