The Miyagawa is a variety which comes from the extreme orient which today has a number of groves even in Sicily. It is one of the most sought after earlies for its early ripening. It is spheroid in shape, very squashed at the poles and shows a rind with an intense green colour, with a tender bodied flesh which is orange and with an absence of pips.
