The Coscia Pear is a Summer variety of medium to small size which presents in an elongated form..
The skin of the Coscia Pear is a uniform light green. In some cases, with red veining on one side, which becomes pale yellow when fully ripe.
Its flesh has a slightly grainy consistency with a delicate and sweet taste.
The fruit should preferably be eaten fresh. It can be stored for a number on months at low temperatures.

Nutritional characteristics: The pear from the nutritional point of view is a harmonious complex of nutrient substances; it is rich with fibres, potassium and calcium, simple sugars with an average content of 12%, vitamins of group B and micronutrients.
Territory of Provenance: West slopes of Etna, valley of Simeto.
Typically Sicilian cultivar; is grown along the Western slopes of Etna and the valley of Simeto, where the conditions of the land and the climate distinctively mark the flavour.
Period of availability: July – September.
Dimensions: medium -small 50-80 gr.
