The nectarine is distinguished from the other varieties by its thin, hairless, brilliant skin, devoid of down. The external colour varies according to the ripeness, with streaks which go from yellow to red.
Extremely tasty, the flesh of the nectarine has intensely yellow colouration and is somewhat firm in texture.
